About Us
Founded in 2014 by Stefanie Griffey, Coastal Behavior Consulting began with the belief of delivering professional and effective services based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Stefanie, a Norfolk native, left the local school system as an educator and administrator, after 15 years to impact families and children in a more meaningful way. Since then, we’ve created a community – growing and evolving our team while working collaboratively with families, schools and related agencies to provide positive interventions for children with autism and other developmental diagnoses. Because together, we belong.
Mission Statement
To provide the first intervention to children and their families affected by Autism and other Developmental Disabilities through the tenets of Applied Behavior Analysis to create significant positive change.
The Team
We wholeheartedly believe that our greatest strength exists within the individuals who work here day after day. Over the years, we’ve assembled a team of exceptionally skilled, certified professionals that provide an unmatched level of passion, energy, patience, and creativity to our families and friends alike.
CBC is committed to providing quality and ethical services and we know that requires a team. Our team members collaborate on treatment approaches, problem-solve together and continuously learn from each other. Each child is supported not just by their immediate team, but also by the decades of experience and training of all our clinicians.
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a master's in special education - Stefanie founded Coastal Behavior Consulting with the sole purpose of providing a higher level of service for families and friends in the Hampton Roads community. Outside of Coastal, Stef spends her downtime with her family at the beach, watching college football, and working on projects around the house.
