Our Services

Our entire practice is based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) – the scientific process of evaluating environments to produce positive improvements in behavior. Our team approaches every scenario with fresh eyes. We listen, we learn, and we create personalized plans tailored to the needs of your child. We invite you to explore our individualized programs below.

Our regular service hours are 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday through Thursday and 8:30am – 2:00pm on Fridays.

Services

Early Learning Program

Early Learners Program

Our Early Learners Program is a center-based ABA program for young children that demonstrate social and/or communication delays or behavioral challenges that is run in a preschool-like setting. It is designed for children ages 15 months – 6 years old who have been recommended for intensive ABA services. Each client works one-on-one with a registered behavior technician on individualized goals with a focus on communication, social interactions, and learning readiness skills.

This program runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 am – 2:00 pm. Throughout the session, children have the opportunity to participate in individual therapy time, small group activities with peers, and activities of daily living. We also offer skill and age-appropriate exposure to preschool concepts such as colors, shapes, and numbers.

Parent participation is an essential and required part of this program. Your team, led by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), will meet with you monthly to provide parent training on topics that are important to you and your child’s programming. Parents and children in this program also go on monthly outings with CBC staff to practice skills learned in the center. Examples of outings include the pumpkin patch, the grocery store, lunch at Chick Fil A and bowling!

School Aged Center Based Services

These services are developed for clients ages 7-13 years old who have been recommended for intensive services. Similar to our Early Learners Program, each client works with their individual registered behavior technician on
treatment plan goals that have been developed with their families, that target areas related to social, communication and/or behaviors.

Our teams work to create fun and age-appropriate activities to work on individually but also in small groups with peers. Parent training and participation is an essential and required component of these services.

Focused Treatment Services

These services are offered for clients aged 7-13 that have been recommended to receive 10-20 hours of services to address deficits in a single treatment area. Many of these clients receive services related to social deficits. Each client works with their Registered Behavior Technician on targeted skills and parents are involved in all aspects of treatment and also receive training.

The goal of this program is to remediate the identified deficits and work towards transitioning to discharge from services. Depending on the needs identified through the assessment and intake process, services may occur in-home or in the center.

These services are offered Monday – Thursday 2:30-5:00 pm.

Community Based Services

Coastal Behavior Consulting offers community-based services in client homes, daycare settings or other appropriate settings. These services are based on location and individual need of the client. In any of these settings, a responsible adult must be present for the entirety of the therapy session and a Home Safety Checklist must be completed for the safety of our staff.

Our teams work closely with families to ensure clients are in the most therapeutic environment for services to be successful.
