Welcome to our blog! However you have found yourself here, we are glad to have you and hope that you find this a good resource for all things Autism, ABA and kids.

2019 brought many changes for Coastal Behavior Consulting. One of our biggest was taking time to redefine ourselves, our practice, and our goals. We share many of those things through
our website, but this blog will serve as an extension, a way to bring the information and tips into the real lives of families. You see, this is one of the reasons that I started Coastal. To bring services, support and collaboration outside of an educational setting and to bring it into homes, grocery stores, parks, museums and all the place that families go. Our purpose has always been to support our families and kids in meaningful ways such as how to ask for a favorite toy, how to call mom by name, eating as a family at a table, and following directions so families can
go places together.

This fuels us and we’ve spent a lot of time in 2019 figuring out more ways to do this. I’ll share my experiences as a teacher and administrator, Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and mom. You’ll meet professionals that I respect and have learned from and you’ll get a glimpse inside our practice and what we do. Our goal is to be a resource to families, professionals and students. We’re looking forward to sharing and bringing our science to life for you!
